Hula for the Home Front: A Nanea Classic 2 by Kirby Larson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I thought this was a very good book for children, though I did think the first one was better. This book continues where the first one left off with Donna gone, except a new girl has moved into town and goes to Nanea's school. Nanea used to be her teacher's top girl but to Nanea, it seems as if the new girl is getting all the attention. Nanea starts to have bad feelings towards the new girl until she learns her story. They soon become friends.
Nanea's brother is slowly heading towards his 18th birthday, once a man turn's 18, he can join the army, and that is exactly what he wants to do. Nanea doesn't want to lose him plus Donna.
During this time Nanea also teaches her dog a very interesting new trick.
I would recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of history be it a boy or a girl, no matter the age. It is all together a good book.
