Review: Breach

Breach Breach by K.I. Lynn
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

Not going to lie and say I liked this book when I clearly did not. I found the sex scenes super unrealistic, at the way beginning she was yapping about how she wouldn't ever have sex with a coworker because it was against the rules or something, and then she had sex with him on page 20? Nah.

Not to mention the sex scene I got to on page 20 was so poorly written, this is the type of book that makes erotica look bad. Just ew and no thank you.

Review: Naked

Naked Naked by Raine Miller
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

This book just didn't do it for me.

It started out all fine and good, but then it seemed to take a turn for the worst and the writing was starting to really irk me, not to mention the book was way too fast paced.

Review: Until November

Until November Until November by Aurora Rose Reynolds
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

The whole time I was reading this it felt like a joke. Was it actually supposed to be taken seriously?

Ah, where to start? Maybe with the fact that the author used zero punctation? Or when she did, it was used wrong and made the book hard to follow?

Oh but that wasn't it. The book went all over the place, we had the synopsis about the book yapping about how after she first met the main character (what was his name?) that she never wanted to see him again, yet in the actual book, she was yapping about how she just had to see him again. I'm-

And then she goes on a date with him and he basically ignores her the whole night and talks to the girls he apparently "hasn't slept with in awhile" the whole night. She leaves, he grabs her arm and puts her in his car and drives her back to her house, all the while she's putting her arms across her chest, apparently that's what women do when they don't want to do something!

They go to her house and then the potch light isn't on....OH MY GOSH THAT MUST MEAN THAT AN INTRUDER WAS IN THE HOUSE!!!!!! *alarms blaring* He runs out of the car and goes into protector mode!!! She goes out too and then he says, "Only I go in baby, you stay out here where it's safe." I still want to know how they knew an intruder was in the house even though they left zero trace but whatever. The dog runs out and he has red paint all over him and the dog goes and sits on her lap and she thinks the dog has blood on him, and then idiot head comes back out of the house and shoves the dog off her lap then goes and says "baby, you're alright! Don't cry". If a man I don't even know shoved my dog off my lap, I'd be crying and then shoving him off of me. But I stopped reading at that point because I couldn't deal with the sudden non-stop use of "baby".

Review: Fifty Shades of Grey

Fifty Shades of Grey Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So I am just going to start the review off like this.

This book gets way too much hate. It honestly had spectacular writing. With all the hate this book got I assumed I'd hate it to, but I was wrong. If you don't like erotica, you don't have to read this book, in fact, don't, it doesn't need to be ruined by people like you.

Okay, now time for the review.

Review: Filthy Beautiful Lies

Filthy Beautiful Lies Filthy Beautiful Lies by Kendall Ryan
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I can say I quite enjoyed this book! The cool thing about it was that it was a quick read that kept you wanting to read more, it wasn't drawn out.

So our main character, Sophie, is a virgin. She needs to make money fast and the only way to do that is to sell her body. That in itself isn't that much different then alot of indie author's books. It seems to be a recurrent theme in the books erotic indie authors write, I can say though that Kendall Ryan's is the only one I could actually read in it's fullness, none of the others I could deal with.

And then our other main character Colton [Drake]. He obviously buys Sophie at the auction. And then there is the auction scene and we have the one big bad man, and then we have the male protagonist who "seems better" than all the others, yada yada. And then he is obviously hiding a secret which yet again isn't that original, it was kina obviouse throughout the whole book.

So honestly, was this the best book I've read this year? No, far from it. But it was a quick read and I can say Kendall Ryan is one of the better indie authors I have read. The part that really irked me in this book is the bad grammer (yikes, there is a ton of it) and the fact that it wasn't very original, and I'm not going to say I fell in love with any of the characters because most of the time
I got Sophie the protagonist and Stella the wife mixed up
and honestly Colton had no loveable qualities to him. I will read the nex book in the series but I better be more impressed.

Review: In Flight

In Flight In Flight by R.K. Lilley
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

This book... I guess I shouldnt've expected much considering it's self published, but come on, that was something else! The writing in it was so darn bad. And then, every few lines, the other would put 'K' in instead of 'Okay'. Even in emotional moments, all we got was 'K'.
